Hi, my name is Caleb Zwanzig. I am an artist currently working in the Denver area. I have my Bachelor of Arts in Studio Art from Azusa Pacific University, and I hope to attend graduate school in the next few years.

I gain most of my inspiration from pouring over old maps, as well as reading biographies and other historical accounts about the exploration of the American West by European settlers. My hope is for us to learn something about who we are by where we've been and where we are going. I hope you enjoy the work. Thank you.

Please be a broken record for me…

I’ve finally found a bit of a rhythm in my work. It’s been great to stumble upon some new ideas, and flush out some old ones. It’s been great to have a space to work in, as well as the discipline to spend time with my work. My professors always talked about discipline as one of the most important parts of artistic practice. I’m finally starting to scratch the surface of what this means. Emotions really are my worst enemy. Many times I don’t “feel like” working, but I sit down and I work. I find a rhythm. I reflect. I find a meditative peace that I really can’t find anywhere else.

Work. Rhythm. Reflection. Meditation. Peace. Repeat.
