Hi, my name is Caleb Zwanzig. I am an artist currently working in the Denver area. I have my Bachelor of Arts in Studio Art from Azusa Pacific University, and I hope to attend graduate school in the next few years.

I gain most of my inspiration from pouring over old maps, as well as reading biographies and other historical accounts about the exploration of the American West by European settlers. My hope is for us to learn something about who we are by where we've been and where we are going. I hope you enjoy the work. Thank you.

Post

We travelers, walking to the sun, can’t see

Ahead, but looking back the very light

That blinded us shows us the way we came,

Along which blessings now appear, risen

As if from sightlessness to sight, and we,

By blessing brightly lit, keep going toward

That blessed light that yet to us is dark.

Post

The woods and pastures are joyous

in their abundance now

in a season of warmth and much rain.

We walk amidst foliage, amidst

song. The sheep and cattle graze

like souls in bliss (except for flies)

and lie down satisfied. Who now

can believe in winter? In winter

who could have hoped for this?
